Combining their signature relaxed attitude with a bit of altitude, one of the highlights of downtown’s new 14-story Canopy by Hilton Hotel will be its rooftop pool and lounge. Going up fast at the corner of Dixie and Lakeside, it’s the McLean, VA-based boutique chain’s first location in South Florida. With five hotels open around the world including Washington, D.C., Dallas, and Atlanta, Canopy has 30 more in the pipeline. It’s also the first new hotel to break ground downtown since the Hilton West Palm Beach. It will feature high-end finishes and premium services with a focus on the South Florida lifestyle, even offering local brews, bites and drinks during nightly tastings, which are complimentary.
Driftwood Acquisitions and Development is the developer, and West Palm Beach’s Verdex Construction is the general contractor, so you know this is going to be built right. You’ll be able to check it out by checking in when the project finishes early next year.
