Getting fit doesn’t have to mean dragging your hide to the gym a 6:00 am for another slog-jog on the treadmill. Just ask the folks behind District Fit, a multi-day health and wellness festival that packs some muscle into a couple of days of fun indoor and outdoor fitness classes, seminars, nutrition talks, and more than 50 pop-up shops and interactive experiences.
Uber-trainers and fitness gurus will lead a raft of wellness workshops and cardio classes for all levels – from the fabulously fit to thinking about getting off the couch, Oct. 19-21 at CityPlace and the Hilton West Palm Beach. It launches Thursday, Oct. 18 with a vegan dinner prepared by the Hilton’s Executive Chef, Miguel Santiago, in partnership with Swank Farms and Vegan Approved. Get ready to start your heart the next morning as you choose a path to fitness fun: a mega Zumba class, fun run by Palm Beach Road Runners, twilight tone yoga party, bike ride to Boynton Beach and back, and much more.
All classes are open to the public. Most are free; a few will require a small donation to benefit American Cancer Society in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We just might give a donation to orgs that support healthy lungs and comfortable recovery, too!
