Fresh cider donuts, smiling dogs in sunglasses, dazzling fruits and veggies straight from the farms around Twenty-Mile Bend, ooo-la-la orchids, neighborly neighbors and live music with your morning coffee pretty much sums up the weekly experience at the West Palm Beach GreenMarket.
People love it. Palm Beachers love it, despite the requirement to cross the bridge. It’s earned praise in The New York Times, Wall St. Journal, Quest, Town & Country and more, for all the right reasons. There’s just something about browsing through the bright waterfront kiosks in the early morning light, marveling at Nature’s bounty – both the edible and visually incredible — that makes us feel healthy, wholesome and happy. Add the encounters with friends, neighbors and new introductions and you have a winning recipe for Saturday morning success. Coffees, teas, cheeses, baked goods, flowers, spices and everything nice-s awaits when the market re-opens for the season on October 6th.
The old favorites are back, and there are interesting new faces and places this year. Some that caught our eye include Aioli; Eddie’s Dark Chocolate; Mi Casa Tu Casa; NüGrub Vegan Products; Soukie’s Spring Rolls, Bowls, & More; Strudel Z; and The Cheese Shoppe from CityPlace. Don’t miss the Dog Costume Contest the Saturday before Halloween!
GreenMarket is produced by the City of West Palm Beach Department of Parks and Recreation, Community Events.
