THE DOWNLOAD ON DOWNTON
Fans of British rich-people-problems, rejoice! Starting November 10, you’ll be able to literally immerse yourself in the world of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants, thanks to a new museum-like exhibit in the former Macy’s space at CityPlace. “Downton Abbey: The Exhibition” will offer visitors a chance to explore the castle – both upstairs and downstairs – on the actual sets from the blockbuster period drama, with over 50 costumes, historic events of the era, unseen television footage and more.
WPB is the second stop for the exhibition following its wildly successful 10-month run in New York. Since Palm Beach was the resort destination of choice for turn-of-the-century aristocrats like the Vanderbilts and Rockefellers, the folks at NBC Universal International Studios felt even the Crawleys would approve of the exhibit’s new location.
Open daily from 10am to 7pm, including Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Tickets are $35 for adults, and free for children under 14. Tally-ho!
